A plain-language explanation of what this website does, and what it does not collect.

Browsing and the plan picker.
You can read the guides without an account. The homepage filters and plan picker run in your browser. The reading feed requests additional public article-list pages as you scroll or select “Load more.” With your permission, it can remember whether you prefer automatic or manual loading. The mixing algorithm uses article categories, not a personal profile.
This site does not include a newsletter signup or account database. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser type, and access time to deliver and secure the site. When the site is served through Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare processes those hosting requests under its own privacy policy.
Cloudflare may also use security or abuse-prevention cookies when its protective features require them. These are separate from optional reading preferences and advertising. See Cloudflare's cookie information for the purposes of those cookies.
Advertising and cookies
We use cookies for specific purposes, not as an automatic permission to track you. Essential consent records remember a privacy choice. Optional reading preferences require your permission, and advertising requires its own valid consent. You can accept optional preferences, choose essentials only, or revisit your choices at any time.
Our first-party preference cookies
nl_cookie_choice— essential choice record. When the built-in cookie panel is in use, this cookie records your preference decision, its time, and the consent-format version. It lasts up to 180 days and does not contain your name, email, or an advertising identifier. It is saved when you make a choice, not merely when the banner appears.nl_reading— optional reading preference. Only after permission, this cookie remembers whether you selected automatic article loading or a manual button. It lasts up to 180 days. Rejecting optional preferences removes it and prevents further preference-cookie writes.
These cookies apply to this site's host and are not shared across unrelated sites. We do not use local storage for these settings. Closing the initial banner without accepting optional cookies does not grant permission or save a consent cookie. If your browser prevents saving or deleting a choice, the site reports that limitation and keeps optional preferences off for the current page.
Advertising and certified consent
Google's AdSense setup script is installed in the page head for site verification and advertising preparation. The site sets Google's pauseAdRequests control before that script loads. Ad requests remain paused until the required account configuration and explicit advertising consent are available on an eligible content page.
Downloading this script contacts Google before a cookie choice and can send request information such as your IP address, browser information, and site origin. Pausing ad requests does not block the script download or guarantee that Google's library performs no other network or storage access. Our reading-preference panel does not control that download. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Advertising is supported, but the publisher's ad-unit, approval, and certified-consent configuration is not complete in this release. The setup script is present, but ad requests remain paused. Accepting reading preferences does not activate advertising or release the ad-request pause.
No separate analytics service is installed in this release. If analytics or another optional service is added, its purposes and consent setup must be reflected in this notice before it runs.
Changing your cookie choices
Use Cookie choices here or in the footer. The built-in panel controls optional reading preferences while advertising is not connected. When the certified advertising platform is connected, this link opens that platform instead. You can decline optional purposes without losing access to the articles.
You can also remove cookies through your browser. Without JavaScript, all article pages and pagination remain usable, but the interactive preference panel is unavailable; use your browser's cookie controls. New advertising services require their own valid consent, not an assumption based on an older reading-preference choice.

Other websites have their own privacy practices. We do not control those websites or their cookies. See our commercial disclosure before using any paid links.
If you email us.
When an operational contact address is available and you choose to send an email, your email provider and the publisher's provider process that message. The publisher receives the information you choose to send, including your address and message, to respond to your request. Avoid including sensitive personal information.
Messages should be kept only as long as needed to respond, manage a relevant business relationship, or meet a legal obligation. Ask the publisher about access, correction, deletion, objection, or other applicable rights using the contact details above. Rights and legal obligations depend on your location and circumstances.
